This project marks the beginning of my effort to photograph people in and around the sea, ideally from a considerable distance. My aim is to emphasize the smallness and insignificance of humans compared to the immenseness of the sea, while also capturing the joy we experience from being by the sea, as if it's a day out. The sea draws us in; once on the beach, we face the sea and turn our backs to the land.
